Media Animation ASBL is the media and multimedia education for the Belgium French-speaking Community’s private education. It is recognized and subsidized by the Minsitry of Education and Ministry of Culture. It was granted crucial funding to implement research, information, training and educational publication. Media Animation’s mission is to support operators in the field of education along two complementary action lines : Consultancy, audiovisual and multimedia production : professional production support to operators in the cultural and educational fields. Media and multimedia education : raising awareness with political authorities and education authorities, training teachers and educational mediators (social workers, educators,...), publishing educational works, setting up research actions.

Media Animation is proposing a lot of diversified activities and trainings to enable young people to become critical users of media and actors of media communication.

Media Animation is proposing a lot of tools and pedagogical publications. A library specializing in media and media literacy is also available.
A center of educational research
Programs of action researches are involving local stakeholders of media literacy with the aim to provide educative ideas and to develop media education.
Infrastructures to educate to media and multimedia
Media Animation provides a multimedia classroom and MediaLab for the actors of education.
A network of education partners
Media Animation based its expertise through a network of educational partners from Belgium and abroad.
Media Animation coordinates and participates in different EC funded project : Educaunet, Media-educ, Mediappro, Euromeduc.
Media Animation works actively to create a European network for media literacy and is an active member of the steering group of the European Charter for Media Literacy. www.euromedialiteracy.eu
